3rd GEAR:

This 3rd gear is used to increase the speed further than 2nd gear, use this gear within the speed range of 20 to 50km/h. 3rd gear is used when running in town and curves. This gear is also used for engine brakes on a gentle downhill.

 

4th Gear:

4th gear is used to raise the speed further than 3rd gear, this gear is used on a large road like a national highway, use it within the speed range of 30 to 60km/h.

 

5th GEAR (OVERDRIVE):

5TH gear is used for high speed or running such as on highways, this 5th gear is also known as an overdrive gear. This gear is used in the speed range of 60km/h or more.

 

R (reverse):

This gear is used to back or reverse the car.

 

N (neutral):

There is no gear selected, in the neutral state be sure to apply the parking brake when stopping because in this state the car will roll on even a slight hill.

 

Steps to start manual cars:

  1. The first step is to press the clutch pedal down to the floor with your left foot.
  2. Step on the brake with your right foot.
  3. Release the emergency brake.
